The health revolution: embracing natural oils in your diet

Yesterday I visited a grocery store to purchase home essentials when I came across an incident that I would like to share here. While I was roaming around the store to shop for products, I witnessed a lady engaged in a conversation with the salesperson where she was unable to find the refined oil she usually buys. The salesperson asked her to try the sesame oil which belongs to a new company in the market, having promising benefits to health and body, ranging in the similar pricing she was ready to pay. Lady, being unaware of the benefits and having less knowledge of the same, stood firm on her decision not to go with any other oil and went ahead with refined oil.

Being a regular consumer of sesame oil now, I decided to inform people how we are blindfolded by the marketing and promotional activities of various products available in the market and not aware of the actual ingredients our body requires for a healthy and sound lifestyle. Ever since I have tried my hands on sesame oil in my daily cooking regime, my body started feeling light, which pushed me to continue this for a while and reap some more benefits out of it.

While in our Indian traditions, we all have grown up knowing the multiple benefits of multiple oils that we use for cooking, applying on hair, skin, and body parts as well as for medicinal purposes. Oils like mustard oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, almond oil, amla oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, etc. are widely used in Indian demographics which later expanded to other countries as well. While in this era, due to advancement or whatever we call it, there is mixing in every product we consume. Be it a tiny item like a sugar granule or a huge item like the ornaments, everything is available in the market after mixing to have a better profit margin for the suppliers.

So today let me take you through the advantages natural oil brings into our lives by regular consumption. First of all, natural oil means oil that is not refined – completely virgin with no mixed additives. It makes the consumption and application pure and safe to use.

Unsaturated fatty acids in natural oils add a lot a lot of health benefits to our food like they contribute to good cholesterol levels and reduce bad cholesterol levels. They helps in reducing the risk of heart and cardiovascular diseases as well. Since the unrefined oil leaves the final extracted product as close to its natural form as possible, it when used in cooking helps retain the nutrients, aroma, and flavor which adds to the authenticity of the dish. Along with the nutrition and tastefulness, it adds a lot to health like regulating blood sugar levels and maintaining heart health. With no or fewer chemicals used in the procedures, it is best suited for people with heart ailments, diabetes, and blood pressure levels. While in cooking, natural oils are used to provide nutrition and taste, it does not lag for skincare or hair care.

Multiple oils, when completely natural and not mixed, are used for skin care therapies and skin therapies. Coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, avocado oil, and many more, are considered the purest food we can offer to our skin, especially dry skin. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties of rich oils not only help moisturize dry skin but also prevent premature aging of the skin.

It adds another layer of protection to our skin that helps lock in moisture.

Multiple benefits can be listed down here for skin care, after embracing these natural oils in a daily regime like –

Now moving ahead on how exactly a natural oil can help in scalp care and hair care. From the time we are born, till the time we die, hair is one of the most important body parts that gets our attention and care. We can’t deny that all of us have had our grandparents running behind us to get our hair oiled. Since the very beginning, especially in Asian families, applying a good amount of natural oil to the scalp and hair has played a very important role as it is the procedure of providing hydration and nutrition to the locks. Not only this, applying hair to the head provides instant relief as well. No matter how the day went, a good oil champi at the end of the day makes it all so good and relaxing. Let us point out how many benefits an oil can provide in hair care.

  1. Hair growth
  2. Stimulates blood circulation on the scalp
  3. Hair loss treatment
  4. Deep conditioning of hair
  5. Adds shine and lustre to hair
  6. Protection against damage from heat, chemicals

We envy those people who have long, healthy, and thick locks, but we don’t understand the efforts put in by them in taking care of their hair by applying virgin and natural oils. So the trick to long and healthy hair is applying the right and unrefined oil to hair and massage it properly.

If listing these many benefits just after using natural oil is possible, we believe everyone should start using natural oil at least once for a while, just to notice what benefits each body can get out of it. Every product produced naturally, without any use of chemicals, is highly beneficial in use. The trick is to be consistent. Try our Sesame virgin oil for your hair care and notice the difference.
